The Gastein valley is a popular place for para-gliders and hang-gliders. At the northern entrance of the valley the Fulseck in Dorfgastein offers reliable winds for all levels of paragliding.

From beginners who want to experience their
first thermals, to ambitious pilots who want to
do some proper cross-country flying, there is something for everyone.

In Bad Gastein you will find the Stubnerkogel. Thanks to the good east-facing starting ground, facing the Graukogel, thermal and cross-country flying achieved relatively early. Occasionally thermal winds are very strong, and therefore the Stubnerkogel is recommended for experienced pilots. This starting point offers fascinating combinations for all cross-country pilots.
